Challenges.

Challenges.

Centre[4]Arts runs galleries, printmaking and media studios, workshops and youth programs out of 173 James Street North. Years of exhibitions and programs had outgrown the old site. The organization needed a home that showed off artists' work, made workshops and memberships easy to find, and was accessible to everyone it serves.

Solutions.

Solutions.

We built a custom design system with a restrained, gallery-like layout that lets the artwork lead. Every page type got a purpose-built template, including exhibitions, a searchable gallery archive, workshops, studios, staff, programs and memberships. Accessibility shaped the build throughout, from keyboard navigation and ARIA-labelled forms to a custom accessibility tool.

Results.

The new platform gives artists, members and visitors one clear, accessible place to explore everything Centre[4]Arts offers.
